BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) _ A state police officer who is awaiting sentencing for assaulting his former girlfriend has been arrested on accusations that he made a threatening call.
The Connecticut Post reports that Laszlo Urszenyi was charged Friday with violating a protective order.
Urszenyi, who is on paid administrative duty, was released after posting a $75,000 bond. He agreed to wear a monitoring device.
He and his lawyer, Guy Soares, declined to comment to the newspaper as they left court.
Police said the 45-year-old Urszenyi had been ordered to have no contact with his former girlfriend following his arrest on Dec. 13 on charges of third-degree assault and unlawful restraint.
Police said that on June 28 Urszenyi called his ex-girlfriend’s cellphone, threatened her and hung up.
