Woodbridge Shooting Suspect Arrested In New Haven

The man wanted in an early morning shooting in Woodbridge has been found in New Haven.

Woodbridge police say they received a tip just before 7:30 this morning that 20-year-old Patrick Young of Hartford was in the Elm City’s Fair Haven section, possibly armed.

New Haven officers found Young in an Acura in the area of Grand Avenue and Haven Street.

Young was taken into custody without incident and turned over the Woodbridge Police.

He is accused of shooting a woman in the wee hours of Monday.

Young faces charges in Woodbridge of assault, criminal possession of a firearm, and carrying a pistol without a permit.

He’s being held on $500,000.
