Special Election Today In 53rd General Assembly District

This is Election Day in three Connecticut towns.

Voters in Willington, Ashford, and Tolland are casting their ballots in a special election to fill a vacant seat in the state House.

The candidates on the ballot are Democrat Anthony Horn and Republican Sam Belisto.

Polls are open in the three towns until eight p.m.

Former Representative Bryan Hurlburt left his 53rd district seat this spring to accept a presidential appointment to a position in the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
