With a week to go before the start of the Travelers Championship, Cromwell is putting the finishing touches on its preparations for the weeklong event.
Officials say they’re ready to welcome golfers, broadcast crews, and tournament officials to town.
Cromwell First Selectman Mertie Terry says they take pride in being one of the most popular stops on the PGA tour.
She says their work really begins in the weeks leading up to the tourney.
Terry says there are plenty of restaurants, hotel rooms and other amenities.
She says the locals are used to the influx they’ll see next week and welcome those from out-of-town making a first-time visit.
