Heavy Hartford Traffic Expected This Afternoon

If you plan on being in or traveling through downtown Hartford this afternoon, expect plenty of company.

Hartford police say two concerts, one at the XL Center downtown, and another at the Comcast Theatre in the North Meadows, are expected to add heavy amounts of traffic on Interstate 91 and 84.

Deputy Police Chief William Long says while the shows will start around 8, they expect concert goers to begin heading into the city much earlier.

Drivers should expect delays in and around downtown Hartford around 3:00pm Friday.
