Drug Sweep In Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, Conn. (AP) _ A year-long investigation into cocaine dealing in Wallingford has resulted in 16 arrest warrants and 13 arrests.

Police say the investigation centered around the Monte Carlo Cafe, a bar in Judd square, which was raided on Wednesday night.
Police say they arrested two people there, including a bartender.

Police say 11 other people were arrested as five teams of officers fanned out across the city.

They face charges ranging from drug possession to the illegal sale of narcotics.

One of those, 28-year-old Justin Toczylowski, also was charged with assault on a public safety officer after allegedly spitting in the face of a paramedic while in custody.

He and several other suspects have Thursday court dates. Those that made bond are due in court on June 11.
