Chief: Officers Violated Rules On Rudeness, Civility

DANBURY, Conn. (AP) _ Danbury’s police chief says four officers have violated the city’s police rules governing rudeness and civility during a routine traffic stop and that the matter has been referred to state prosecutors.

Chief Alan Baker said Thursday his office is preparing charges and referring the matter to Mayor Mark Boughton.

Baker says the incident occurred during a traffic stop on March 8 and that the motorist involved did not complain.

Baker did not identify the officers who were accused or detail what is alleged to have happened.
