Police Say 71-Year-Old Woman Was Tied Up In Home Invasion

New Haven Police are looking for two suspects who forced their way into a New Haven home in broad daylight Monday,  tying up a 71-year-old woman, and making off in the victim’s car.

Police say the women, ages 71  and 58,  were returning home with groceries when they were confronted by the two men at their back door.  One was armed with a handgun.

Police are looking for the victim’s car,  described as a white 2003 Pontiac Aztek with bumper stickers on the back bumper and Connecticut license plate number 977-XGC.  They released a photo of the car .  They say both men should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police say Yale University sent an alert to the Yale community,  though the two women are not affilated with the university.
