Two Charged In Home Invasion

HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) _ Hamden police charged two men with assaulting a local resident and stealing his belongings during a home invasion.

Fifty-one-year-old David Miller of New Haven and 34-year-old Anibal Bruno were arrested Sunday on charges including first-degree robbery, assault and larceny.

Police say the 52-year-old victim invited Miller and Bruno into his home off Mix Avenue early Sunday morning. The resident told police that Bruno punched him in the head and held a knife to his throat before he and Miller fled with his belongings.

The resident was treated at the scene for a head injury.

Authorities say Miller and Bruno led police on a chase in a stolen car before being arrested. Both were detained on $50,000 bail pending court appearances Monday.

It’s not clear if Miller and Bruno have lawyers.
