BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) _ A second Bridgeport teenager has been freed from jail after having been charged in a 2011 shootout that left another teenager dead.
The Connecticut Post reports (http://bit.ly/12HL63c ) that a state prosecutor dropped a manslaughter charge against 19-year-old Terrance Clark on Tuesday.
Prosecutors also dropped charges against 19-year-old Dasheen Brown last week.
Clark and Brown had been detained for the past 20 months in connection with the killing of 17-year-old Blair Belcher Jr. and the wounding of three others at Washington Park.
Manslaughter and other charges remain pending against 20-year-old Joseph Joyner.
Police believe the shooting stemmed from a gang dispute.
Charges against Clark and Brown were dropped after a witness in the case refused to testify.
Prosecutors say they didn’t have enough evidence to win convictions against Clark and Brown.
