Bloomfield Police: Man Pointed BB Gun at President’s Motorcade

A man will be arraigned in court today after he was arrested yesterday by Bloomfield Police for pointing a BB gun at President Barack Obama’s motorcade, which was departing from a visit at the University of Hartford.

Police say the man was at the intersection of Charter Avenue and Cottage Grove Road when the motorcade passed and the man had what appeared to be a rifle, but turned out to be a BB gun.

He was reportedly acting suspiciously, pacing back and forth and was taken into custody with aggression.

His name hasn’t been released at this time.
