Backhoe Swiped, Torched In Southington

Southington police want to know who swiped a backhoe, then set it on fire.

The find was made just before 12:30 this morning.

The construction apparatus was located in the woods, a couple of hundred feet off the road at North Shuttle Street.  It’s not far from the New Britain reservoir.

Police say the backhoe was apparetly stolen from a nearby property before it was torched.

Anyone with any information is asked to call southington police.
