Hartford police are investigating after an officer involved shooting last night.

They say around 10:30, officers Bryan Nelson and Jonathan Youens attempted to pull over avehicle.  The vehicle fled, later crashing into a fence at Arnold and Ledger Streets.

As officer Nelson approached, police say the operator directed the car at the policeman.  Nelson fired two shots, both of which hit the car.

The driver, identified as 24-year-old Vincent Campbell, was captured on Pershing Street by members of the Hartford Police Shooting Task Force.

He faces a slew of charges including assault on a police officer, interfering with police, narcotics possession, and criminal attempt to commit assault.  Bond has been set at 300-thousand dollars
