Break-in At Norwalk Court House

Someone broke into a courthouse in Norwalk late last night.

State Police responded an alarm at Geographical Area 20 courthouse on Belden Avenue shortly before 11 pm.

A person was spotted running away from the area, but troopers were unable to find him or her.

Police say nothing was missing from the courthouse.  The only damage was a window apparently broken when the person entered the building.

“It does not appear at this point that any specific personal records or documents were disturbed or were altered in any way, or were accessed during this burglary attempt,” said State Police Sergeant Donna Tadiello

Investigators say nothing appeared to be missing.

Police say they found items in the courthouse left by the burglar or disturbed by the burglar that may be of use in their investigation.
