Two men are facing charges after Manchester police say they tried to break into a local jewelry store.

They say 20-year-olds Ryan Clark and Michael Fortin, both of Andover, were spotted trying to smash their way into Gooddale Jewelers in Manchester around midnight.

Police say Fortin and Clark engaged officers in a foot pursuit in the area of Otis Street before they were finally caught.

Fortin is charged with criminal attempt at burglary, interfering with police, breach of peace, criminal mischief, and criminal attempt to commit larceny.  His bond is $100-thousand.

Clark faces charges if interfering with police, criminal attempt to commit burglary, and criminal attempt to commit larceny with a $25-thosuand bond.
