A Milford mother was given three weeks to find a lawyer at a court appearance that was continued on Friday after she was charged with risk of injury to a minor for letting her 15-year-old child drive a sibling to the Live Oaks Elementary School in Milford Thursday morning.

Nicole Perrelli, 39, said she had pneumonia and had just been released from the hospital so she let the child drive to school.

The 15-year-old is also charged with risk of injury, reckless driving and operating a motor vehicle without a license, released on a juvenile summons.
