Vernon Police have made a second arrest in the investigation of credit card fraud.31 year old Celeste Harris of East Hartford is accused of stealing credit card numbers from individuals living in Maryland to make purchases in East Hartford and Vernon.
The purchases began in January of 2012 and ended in November,when furniture purchased with the stolen credit card numbers was delivered to a Vernon address.There police arrested 26 year old Anna Hansley.
Friday Harris was charged with Larceny in the Third Degree,Credit Card Theft,Credit Card Fraud,Identity Theft and Conspiracy to Commit Third Degree Larceny.Harris was also charged with two counts of Violation of Probation.Harris total bond is $350,000.She is being held at the Vernon Police Department.If she fails to make bond she will appear in Rockville Superior Court Tuesday.East Hartford Police assisted in the investigation.Additional charges are likely.
