CBIA Economist Peter Gioia  says failure to fully resolve the fiscal cliff and other problems in Washington seem to be affecting the outlook of state business leaders.  He says more than half expect the state’s economy to worsen in the near future —  an eight percent increase over the last survey

Of those questioned, 18% said they expect to add jobs in  the next quarter,  while 19% foresee cuts.

The survey found 34% of respondents plan increases in production and sales,  while 21% expect decreases .
