New Haven Officers Approve New Union Deal

NEW HAVEN — Police union members voted 247 to 109 in favor of a new union contract Wednesday night. Their previous contract expired July 2011. The new contract will last through June 30, 2016.

About 86 percent of the members voted. The contract calls for a 9 percent increase spread over the next five years.
