Police Blotter: Bridgeport Gunfire Exchange, East Haven Radio Shack Robbed, Middletown Burglary Sting Arrest
BRIDGEPORT — Gunfire was exchanged during an attempted robbery at Nick’s Grocery on Fairfield Avenue Tuesday night. Multiple armed suspects entered the store in attempt to rob it, but the clerk had a gun on him and fired back. The employee was not wounded, though one of the suspects may have been struck. It’s still not clear. Police are investigating.
EAST HAVEN — Some five robbers made off with five televisions from an East Haven Radio Shack on Foxon Road in East Haven Tuesday evening. No one was injured. There were reportedly four men and one woman involved in the robbery.
MIDDLETOWN — Dane Daniel Tilley, 30 of Middetown, was arrested Monday by Middletown police for multiple residential burglaries in the city. He’s charged with three counts of burglary, three counts of larceny and third-degree criminal mischief. His bond was set at 150 thousand dollars and he’s due in court Feb. 14. There are six additional arrest warrants pending for Tilly that will be served in the near future.
