A mother is charged with going onto the court during her son’s basketball practice in Plainville, and swearing at 7-year-old boys.

Plainville Police Sergeant Nicholas Mullins says adults saw the incident at the Linden Street School.

“During the practice, the mother of one of the players believed her son was elbowed by another of the players,” Mullins said.

Forty-one year-old Cari Penta is charged with breach of peace.

She allegedly told the boys “If you touch my kid again I will f—ing get you,” and “I will beat the s— out of you.”

Police say when they went to her house to ask about the incident, she initially denied it had happened.
