Bridgeport police say a teenager was seriously injured Monday morning at a school bus stop as he crossed the street on his way to school on Old Town Road.  The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m.  The youngster, who is 17, was crossing the street with the school bus stopped, its red lights flashing.

Police say he was struck by a car coming in the opposite direction and driven by 21-year-old Matthew Kuhn of Branford.

The teenager is being treated for a broken right leg as well as injuries to his left foot.  The injuries are not life threatening.

Kuhn is charged with failure to obey a school bus signal.
