Operation Fuel Seeks Donations For Energy Assistance Fund

The non-profit Operation Fuel is hoping residents consider donating funds through its “Add-a-Dollar” program.

Utility customers are being encouraged to contribute in order to provide those who need it with energy assistance.

Op-Fuel’s executive director Pat Wrice says utility customers need only sign up one time.  Wrice says there has been an uptick in calls from those needing assistance, as temperatures have been at or below normal following a mild start to the season.

She says the “Add-a-Dollar” donations have remained flat over the years, adding that it could potentially raise two-million-dollars if everyone contributed just one dollar.

She says anyone needing assistance should call the state’s Infoline at 2-1-1…
