Man Charged In Dustup Over Bumper Sticker

Glastonbury police say they’ve arrested a man who took a bat to the car of another driver.

They say on Friday, 61-year-old Paul Guaschino of Manchester became incensed when another driver made an obscene gesture with his finger, apparently over an “Impeach Obama” bumper sticker Guaschino sported on his vehicle.

Police say Guaschino followed the motorist to an intersection and while stopped at a traffic light, hit the trunk of the motorists car with a baseball bat.  The motorist then fled.

Guaschino faces threatening, criminal mischief, and breach of peace.  He’s free on a written promise to appear in court February 20.
