Police in Plainfield say a one-car accident last night in town was a hit and run.

They say a little after 10:30, a witness called them to report the mishap on Prospect Street in the Moosup section in which the driver apparently struck a parked car.

A witness reported speaking to the driver, described as a blonde female, who then proceeded to get back in her car and drive away.  The suspect vehicle has front end damage, according to police.  They also say the have developed several leads.
