On Jan. 30, the Bristol Police Department’s Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET), assisted by the Statewide Narcotics TaskForce, Middletown Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit, and the Plymouth Police Department, executed 3 search and seizure warrants as part of an investigation into a marijuana selling operation in the West End area of Bristol. The search and seizure warrants were executed at two apartments and one business, UpScale Cutz, all in the immediate West End area.

The following individuals were arrested on multiple arrest warrants and on-site violations:

Jamel Hazelwood, age 30.

Hazelwood was charged with 2 Counts Illegal Sale of Marijuana, 2 Counts Illegal Sale of Marijuana in a School Zone, Illegal Possession of Marijuana in a School Zone, and Criminal Liability to Commit Sale of Marijuana. He posted a court set $200,000. bond and was released.

William Dominguez, age 20.

Dominguez was charged with Illegal Sale of Marijuana, Illegal Sale of Marijuana in a School Zone, Illegal Possession of Marijuana in a School Zone. He was held on a court set $100,000. bond.

Jonathan Jones, age 33.

Jones was charged with 4 counts Illegal Sale of Marijuana, 4 counts Illegal Sale of Marijuana in a School Zone, 2 counts Illegal Possession of Marijuana and one count each of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Illegal Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Sell, and Illegal Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Sell School Zone. He was held on Court set bonds totaling $375,000.

Mark Crooks, age 23.

Crooks was charged with Interference with a Search Warrant. He was released on a $5,000. non-surety bond.

Additional arrests are anticipated as part of this investigation.
