Hartford police are investigating an officer-involved shooting overnight.  Police say Officer Israel Mantillia had wrapped up a private duty call on New Park Avenue Saturday and was responding to Chadwick Street to help locate a suspect in a street robbery.

Police say in a confrontation with an individual resembling the description of the suspect, he fired a single shot from his weapon,  and hit that person in the right ankle.

They’re asking anyone with any information about the incident shortly after midnight to call the Hartford Police Major Crimes Division.
