State Police Identify Accident Victims

State Police continue to investigate an accident last night in Old Lyme the left three people dead.

Troopers say the accident occurred around 10 o’clock last night on Interstate 95.  They say a wrong way driver struck another vehicle in the southbound lanes near exit 70.

Three people in the car that was struck were pronounced dead at the scene.  State police are identifying the victims as 90-year-old Marjorie Minore, 71-year-old Tamara Nolin, and 63-year-old Barbara Prato.  The driver of the other vehicle is identified as 51-year-old Frank Sundstrom.  He sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital by Life Star chopper.

The accident had the highway closed for about five hours.  State Police are still investigating and ask anyone with any information to contact the Troop F barracks at 860-399-2100.
