State Vets To Be Honored

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) _ State officials are honoring a dozen more
inductees to the Connecticut Veterans Hall of Fame.

A ceremony is planned for Wednesday afternoon in the atrium of
the Legislative Office Building in Hartford.  Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman,
Department of Veterans Affairs Commissioner Linda Schwartz and
state Sen. Carlo Leone of Stamford, the co-chairman of the
legislature’s veterans committee, will join the Class of 2012
inductees, their family members and friends.

Carmine Vaccaro of Stamford, who served as a U.S. Navy Hospital
Corpsman during the Korean War and is active in the Stamford
community, is among the latest inductees.

The Hall of Fame recognizes distinguished veterans who have made
significant contributions to their communities since leaving
