Fatal Shooting In Waterbury Monday Night

Waterbury Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at 11 p.m. Monday at 848 North Main St.

A group of people were playing cards when two male suspects attempted to enter the club and rob the people inside. Police say it appears that a struggle occurred between the male victim and the suspects and one of the suspects shot the victim in the chest.

The male victim was rushed by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead about an hour later. The identity of the victim is not being released at this time.

The suspects are described as two black males between the ages of 25-30 with medium builds and of medium height.
