Tiny Shriners Jeeps Stolen From Newington

Three tiny jeeps were stolen from a trailer at the Newington Sphinx Shriners Motor Patrol.

A pair of yellow jeeps with tiny license plates numbered two and three were taken, along with one red jeep with license plate number 11.

Shriners Secretary Truman Alderman says the hand-made vehicles are about are 58-years-old.

“The cars are approximately 30 inches long, 14 inches wide, and they are a copy of a 1941 Jeep,” Alderman said.

Alderman says he is very disappointed.

The theft was discovered Thursday.   The vehicles were taken some time between Tuesday and Thursday.

Shriners Captain Weston Bedore says the Shriners have all of the tiny, handmade Jeeps, so if you see one in someone else’s posession, it might have been stolen.
