Norwich Cold Case Murder Suspect Arrested In New York

Police in New York City this week arrested a suspect in a four-year-old Cnnecticut murder.  A cold-case investigation  by Norwich police and the Southeastern Connecticut/New London County Cold Case unit led them to apply for a warrant for 29-year-old Jose Ramos.

Ramos faces charges in the October, 2008 shooting death of Tynell “Blue”Hardwidk,  shot and killed on Boswell Avenue in Norwich.  Hardwick’s death was featured as the ace of spades in the second set of cold case playing cards produced by state officials for Connecticut prison inmates,  in hopes they produce information leading to suspects.

Ramos,  of Brooklyn, New York,  waived extradition and was returned to Connecticut.
