Vernon Police Release Sketch Of Suspect In Attempted Assault

Vernon police have released a rendering of a person they’d like to talk to in the attempted sexual assault of a woman walking on the Vernon rails-to-trails trail Wednesday.

Police say the woman was on the trail between route 30 and Center Road about 7 p.m. when the man approached her.

He’s described as a white male in his late thirties,   with a thin build, short gray hair and light eyes.  Police say he’s believed to jog the trail regularly between 5  and 7 p.m.

Police asked anyone with information to call Vernon Police.
