State police say a Mansfield man is under arrest,  charged with home invasion, armed robbery, kidnapping and other charges in an armed robbery and home invasion a week ago on Derek Road in Mansfield.

Today’s arrest of 40-year-old Anibal Carrero Jr.  followed a search through the woods with dogs and the state police airplane.  Police say they expect more arrests in the case.  The two victims in the home who were tied up in the break-in told police they were confronted by five masked men.

Police say the evidence in the case led them to obtain an arrest warrant for Carrero,  who fled on foot into woods near his home when he recognized them.  K-9 Staff Instructor, Trooper Joseph Morelli and his K-9. Wyatt, located Carrero in a wooded area about three miles from his home and Carrero was taken into custody without incident,

Mansfield schools in the area were locked down during the search as a precaution.
