GOP Critical Of State Park’s Use For Campaign Event

Connecticut Republicans are criticizing Governor Malloy for closing Sherwood Island State Park in Westport for President Obama’s helicopter,   while he attends campaign fundraising events in Fairfield County.

The statement issued by by GOP Chair Jerry Labriola, Jr. says Connecticut is not the site of a campaign rally or an address on the issues —  but is what he called “just a cash cow for the president,  a short layover with enough time to grab a couple of bags of money.”
