Suspect In Prospect Avenue Stabbing Returns To Connecticut

Hartford Police say a suspect in the death of a man found in his home near the West Hartford line has been extradited from Pennsylvania.  The body of Christopher Donato was found in his apartment on Prospect Avenue June 18 by police who had been asked to check on him,  based on a missing persons report.  He had suffered multiple puncture wounds.

Later in June,  police in Philadelphia arrested 31-year-old Carl Small of Bloomfield,  and he now has been returned to Connecticut.  He remains in custody on a one-million-dollar bond,  charged with one count of murder.

Police Chief James Rovella thanked the Philadelphia Police and the U.S. Marshals for their help in Small’s capture.
