MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (AP) _ A man and a woman are being treated at a hospital after three personal watercraft and a boat collided as they were heading into the Connecticut River.

A spokeswoman for the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection says the accident happened at around 7:30 p.m. Sunday as the watercraft and boat were heading north on the river.

Both victims are being treated at Hartford Hospital.

An investigation is continuing.
