Police Say Shelton Dad Paid Teen To Fight Suspected Bully

Shelton police say a 42-year-old father is due back in court in Derby Monday after he was arrested in a May incident which reportedly stemmed from a situation involving bullying.

Police say Philip Prokop of Shelton paid a teenager money to fight a 13-year-old girl he believed was bullying his daughter.  Police say that during the fight,  the father then grabbed another teenager,  to stop her from joining in the fight.  Police say the parents of both refused medical attention for their children at the scene.

Prokop is charged with inciting injury,  risk of injury to a minor and conspiracy to commit assault.
