Police ID Victims In Triple Shooting In North Branford

NORTH BRANFORD, Conn. (AP) – State police say the deaths in North Branford over the weekend were the results of a shooting of a woman by her husband who then fatally shot himself.

Police said Tuesday that the medical examiner determined that Exsell Negron shot and killed his 39-year-old wife, Meredith, and fatally shot himself on Saturday night.

Police say the 41-year-old Negron also shot his father-in-law, Richard Fletcher, in the abdomen. A spokeswoman for Yale-New Haven Hospital says the 70-year-old Fletcher remains in fair condition Tuesday.

North Branford police said Saturday that the shooting resulted from a domestic dispute.

The Negrons and Fletcher shared the North Branford house.
