New Britain police are holding a Clark Street resident on assault and firearms charges after a weekend disturbance.  Police called to 149 Clark Street found a 23-year-old man who appeared to have been stabbed,  and two men, ages 27 and 24, suffering gunshot wounds.  All three were taken to the hospital.

Police arrested a first floor resident, 61-year-old Vincente Rivera.  in connection with the shootings. Police say a woman at the scene also told them he had hit her with a cane.   They say they do not believe Rivera is the person responsible for the stabbing, and say more arrests are expected.
