Four Arrests In New Britain Fires

Four people are under arrest in connection with a two-alarm fire which heavily damaged a vacant three-story apartment building at 132 Oak Street.  Police say a juvenile who was not identified because of his age is charged with arson and criminal trespass,  and is held in lieu of a quarter million dollars bail.

Two other juveniles and an 18-year-old identified as Earnest Green of New Britain all were charged with criminal trespass.  The juveniles.  both age 15,  were released into custody of their parents and Green was freed on bond.

The fire in the building with no electricity was reported shortly before 11 a.m,  and was burning so strongly that the arriving crews called in a second alarm.  The fire itself remains under investigation.
