Police Arrest 2 in Naugatuck Bank Robbery

Police  say the have arrested   a woman who robbed Peoples United Bank inside the Rubber Avenue Stop & Shop in Naugatuck on Saturday afternoon.23 year  Brianna McCarthy  of Litchfield has been charged with Robbery, Larceny and Conspiracy  Police say McCarthy  was wearing a red wig and approached a teller around 2:45 p.m. and demanded money. No weapon was shown and no injuries were reported.

McCarthy was seen leaving the area in a silver Saturn operated by a white male wearing sunglasses. Police say the driver  was  25  year old  Joshua  Habib , also of Litchfield.He has been charged with  Conspiracy at Robbery and Falsely Reporting an Incident.

Both suspects were  taken into custody when they pulled into a private residence in Litchfield.McCarthy and Habib are being held on $150,000 dollars bond each. They are due to  appear in Waterbury Superior Court  Tuesday.
