Police Release Artist’s Sketch Of Suspect In Jeweler’s Death

Westport police have released an artist’s sketch of the suspect in the fatal shooting of a jewelry store owner at his Post Road business last week.

Police say 59-year-old Yekutiel Zeevi of Westport was killed in the robbery and his associate was wounded.  The rendering is based on a description provided by the wounded man to a police artist.

They’re asking anyone who may have seen anyone resembling the sketch near the Compo Shopping Center,  either Thursday,  the night of the shooting,  or Wednesday,  when the suspect visited Y-K Jewelers,  to call Westport detectives at (203) 341-6080.

The suspect was believed to be driving a “boxy” blue four-door car.

Well, now we know where sketch artists who get really bad grades end up working!
