DDS Worker Charged With Sexual Assault Of Clients

A veteran employee of the Department of Developmental Services is charged with sexual assault of  clients at the group home  where he worked.   State Police Lieutenant Paul Vance says the investigation was prompted by injuries to one of the developmentally disabled victims living at the Killingly home.

57-year-old Ellis Hagstrom of Brooklyn, CT is charged with 42 charges involving sexual assault of that resident and another at the home.  Police say their two-month investigation found forensic evidence and witness statements that led them to identify Hagstrom as the suspect.

Police declined to give the age or gender of the victims, because of the sensitive nature of their investigation.

Hagstrom, who has worked for DDS for 25 years,   is held in lieu of 400-thousand dollars bond.
