WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) _ A high-ranking Wesleyan University administrator has been appointed as a new vice president at the University of Hartford.
Christine Pina is set to start Nov. 28 as vice president for institutional advancement, in which she will focus on fund-raising, development and alumni relations.
Pina holds a bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan and a master’s degree from Harvard University. She joined Wesleyan in 2004 as a development officer and was promoted to its director of major gifts in 2006.
She previously was a healthcare management consultant and has also worked at Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H.; Madeira School, a girls’ boarding school in McLean, Va.; and St. Paul’s School in Concord, N.H.
University of Hartford President Walter Harrison praised her experience, talent and energy, saying her vision and values “are perfect” for UHart.
