A Massachusetts man is in custody after trying to elude police and driving into oncoming traffic.
At about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Enfield Police responded to a motor vehicle crash and say a pick-up truck driven by Ryan Terbush, 29, of Monson, Mass., was attempting to elude Springfield and East Longmeadow Police by traveling westbound in the eastbound lane on Shaker Road. The vehicle collided with another and then kept traveling onto Elm Street and struck another vehicle before coming to a rest on the front lawn of a house at 182 Elm St.
After a brief struggle, Terbush was taken into custody. Two operators and a passenger were transported to area hospitals for injuries. The incident remains under investigation.
