KILLINGLY, Conn. (AP) – Connecticut state police have arrested a man accused of assaulting a school bus driver in Killingly.
Police say 51-year-old Richard Doyle was upset the bus did not wait longer at an earlier stop when he climbed aboard Thursday morning and fought with the driver.
Doyle was arrested at his home on charges including third-degree assault and disorderly conduct. Bond was set at $25,000.
The bus driver received minor injuries but no children on the bus were hurt.
The bus was escorted to a school where the students were met by teachers and counselors.
There was no immediate response to a phone message left at Doyle’s residence.
