A power crew from Michigan hired by Connecticut Light and Power to help restore electricity following Tropical Storm Irene was ordered off a property in the town of Brooklyn Monday morning by a man with a gun, said State Police.

Troopers say the crew, conducting service outage checks, went to the Bailey Street home of Kyle J. Wojcik, 30, where Wojcik allegedly pointed a gun in their direction and ordered them off the property. The contractors immediately complied– followed down the driveway by Wojcik, said police. No shots were fired.

Police were notified and later arrested Wojcik without further incident. He is charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree threatening, and disorderly conduct.

Wojcik was held on $25,000 bond, pending arraignment Tuesday in Danielson Superior Court
