Manchester police say a vehicle that lost control on a city street fatally struck a bicyclist and hit another car before striking a gas pump at a service station.
The collision early Sunday remained under investigation later in the day as police worked at the scene.
Their preliminary investigation found the vehicle was heading east on Hartford Road when it struck another car, hit the bicyclist, then crashed into the gas station and flipped on its side.
The names of the bicyclist and the vehicle’s driver were not immediately released later Sunday.
The man on the bicycle was declared dead at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, and the car’s driver was reported to be in serious condition at Hartford Hospital.
