NAUGATUCK, Conn. (AP) _ Connecticut environmental officials say they’re planning to release a bear back into the wild after catching it at a Naugatuck apartment complex.
Officials with the Department of Environmental Protection tell WFSB-TV that they tranquilized the bear at the complex off Andrews Avenue Sunday night after local residents reported seeing the animal.
The DEP plans to release the bear Monday. It’s not clear where exactly the bear will be let go.
